The Ink Alliance Rollout Begins!!!

Did you know that there are less than twenty black owned comic book stores in the United States? Well, we didn't either until, Michael Davis, one of the owners of Blerds Underground (in Chicago) reached out to Sean to let him know that he was "putting a team together" (joking…that's actually an Avenger's reference). Seriously though, out of approximately 2500 comic shops in the United States, less than 20 of them are black owned. And…Ragan is the ONLY black female comic book store owner currently. Crazy Right?! Well, what followed after that were discussions on how we could all start to work together as a collective since it was only a handful of us. Thus, the Ink Alliance was formed. One of the ways this helps you guys is that now we have a network of "sister stores" that we can reach out to for books that you want that may be out of stock at our location or our distributors. So we can possibly fill special order request much quicker as it's just a matter of a phone call or a message to a group chat to ask about a title in need (it actually happed this weekend that way). We are also collaborating on something else that is HUGE so stay tuned as there may be an announcement as early as this week. #InkAllianceStores
